How To Repair Xbox 360 The Xbox 360 uses a ring of LED's around the power button on the front panel. There are 4 separate LED's. you have to see which ones are lighting to determine the error.

On the ring of LED's, we will call the top left number one, then clockwise, 2, 3,
and 4.
LED's 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all flashing: AV cable not detected. Make sure the AV
cable is connected securely. If that doesn't help, you may need a new Xbox.
Hopefully, it's under warranty.
LED's 1, 3, and 4 are flashing red: Hardware Failure. Unplug everything and
reconnect it, if that doesn't help, you may need a new Xbox. Hopefully, it's
under warranty.
LED's 1 and 3 are flashing red: Overheating. Make sure your Xbox is sitting
out in the open on a hard, flat surface. Don't close it up in a cabinet where it
can't get good airflow. If that doesn't help, you may need a new Xbox.
Hopefully, it's under warranty.
LED 4 is flashing red: There is a problem with the DVD drive or hard drive.
Check the AV cable too. There should be an error code displayed on the
screen. Check the table below.
- E65: DVD Drive Error. Replace it.
- E67: Hard Drive Error. Try running the Xbox without the hard drive, if
everything's OK, replace the hard drive.
- E68: Hard Drive Error: See E67 above.
- E69: Hard Drive Error. See E67 above.
- E74: AV Cable Error. Replace the AV cable.
